Religious Staff

Fr. Steven Soos

Fr. Steven Soos is our new prior and rector. He is originally from New Albany, IN. Following his ordination in 1994, he served chapels in Post Falls, ID; Dickinson, TX; St. Marys, KS; Kansas City; and St. Louis, MO. Most recently, Fr. Soos spent 12 years as prior of St. Therese Church in Nicholville, NY where he also served as Principal of the Academy.  He was previously stationed here at St. Joseph's from 1998-2004 where he was pastor of St. Anne's Church in Livonia (then situated in Redford). As of  August 2024, Fr. Soos is happy to be leading the team at St. Joseph’s and is very much looking forward to assisting with the continued growth of this beautiful parish.

Fr. William Kimball

Fr. William Kimball comes from Upstate New York.  He graduated from Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God Academy in Syracuse, NY.  After receiving an Associate’s degree at St. Mary’s College, he entered St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary and was ordained in 2013 in Winona, MN. First assigned to Post Falls, ID, he taught Religion and Music at the boys school. After two years in Los Gatos he continued to teach while also preaching retreats. He presently serves as Principal of St. Joseph's Academy and teaches Gregorian Chant and Religion to the 5th and 6th grades.  He is assigned to the mission chapel of St. Anne's, where he says Mass on the weekends.

Fr. Patrick Crane

Fr. Patrick Crane hails from Wichita, KS, where he earned a bachelor’s degree at Kansas State University before spending four years as a Law Enforcement Officer for the Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife. With this diverse experience, he entered St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary and was ordained in 1998. His years as a priest have taken him to assignments across the US— Arcadia, CA; Post Falls, ID; Syracuse, NY; Browerville, NY; Davie, FL; St. Louis MO; St. Marys, KS… and now Ray Township, MI. He currently serves as Pastor of St. Margaret Mary Alocoque Church in Allendale (Grand Rapids), MI.

Fr. Todd Anderson

Fr. Todd Anderson was born in Louisiana. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Following his ordination to the priesthood at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in 2010, he gained a broad range of experience with assignments in the districts of Asia, Australia-New Zealand, the United States, and at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn, VA. Fr. Anderson will be serving Infant of Prague Chapel in Bay City, MI and Sacred Heart Church in Mancelona, MI.
