Ten Boys and Girls receive Our Lord for the First Time in Holy Communion

On Sunday, May 19th, ten children from St. Joseph's Church—seven girls and three boys—received Our Lord for the first time in Holy Communion.

They had worked hard to memorize their catechism, they had prepared themselves by prayers and little sacrifices, and most importantly, had sought to stir up a greater and greater love for their Divine Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament at a day of recollection the previous day.

And today, one of the most important of their lives, they had the great privilege of receiving Our Eucharistic Lord for the first time. May God bless these precious souls and may Our Lady watch over them and keep their souls as pure and joyful as they were on this special day!

Once for all beloved children, the surest, easiest, shortest way is by the Eucharist. It is so easy to approach the holy table, and there we taste the joys of Paradise. —St. Pius X
